Webmasters are losing links?
We've heard (and experienced our selves) that many webmasters have lost many pages that were indexed on Yahoo,Altavista and Fast during this last 'cleansing'. The fact is that this happens every so often and in my many years of optimizing sites I have found that these engines re-enter (for better lack of a word) your pages into their index. I've seen many times where search engines drop a nice chunk of pages that were indexed right out, only to see my pages all come back slowly. One thing I have noticed though is that everytime they re-index like this my sites start to perform better after especially re-optimizing some of my sites.
As a result of pages dopping out of the SE's index webmasters links are dropping as well. Again, this is going to happen every so often. If you're smart you will stay on top of the latest changes and gossip on the major SE forums and wait it out.
There is really nothing to worry about unless you've been black-balled... RIP ^ TOP
